That one is about 4.5 hours south of where I am. I've visited that place a couple of times and drove by it during my Route 66 trip this past September.

I'm really starting to consider Burnt Orange for the 76 after seeing that Laguna. It's not too far off from the original gold/brown. Thanks for posting that, Rago! LMAO

some wanna set me straight i always thought that 75 was the last year for round head lights and 76-77 had square (chevelles and montes)

Re: T.W. Bouska's 74 El Camino/My Daily Driver (UPDATED 12/19/10)
the base model 76 77 malibus had single round headlights, like browneye, not many of them around and the 76 Laguna had the same front end as 75. No laguna in 77.

Re: T.W. Bouska's 74 El Camino/My Daily Driver (UPDATED 12/19/10)
Roadcaptain is correct. I owned a round headlight 76 in highschool & searched for 8 years trying to find another in decent shape. Also, base models still had large quarter windows. The 77 base model with round headlights & large quarters is an even rarer beast. I've only seen one.
I believe I started that argument when I first posted here with pics of my first 76. I've now owned enough proof for that debate to end, lol.

Maybe the headlight buckets & trim?
If you want, post everything in the for sale section with prices & pics. I'm sure someone will want to buy or horse trade with you.

Re: T.W. Bouska's 74 El Camino/My Daily Driver (UPDATED 12/19/10)
JB, im hoping it will be off the car and ready to ship in about a month, but i work full time and ive got 17 units at school this semester so its been pretty hard to find time to work on my car, so thats no guarantee, im gonna try to tackle getting the laguna nose prepped and ready for paint this weekend, painted next weekend, and then hopefully on my car the following week, but as you may understand, time may not allow for it to happen quite that fast, would you be satisfied if i keep you updated?

I could be wrong, but i think he was just pulling your chain, especially the part about dropping it off in KY from Cali.

Yeah, I was. I would take it except for getting it here. If I had it, it would be to keep as a spare in case something happened to mine. JBRoadcaptain S3 wrote:JB2wheeler wrote:I'd like to have it, when can you drop it off? JB

Re: T.W. Bouska's 74 El Camino/My Daily Driver (UPDATED 12/19/10)
i havent even put it on or actually had the time to pay much attention to it yet to be honest, i got 17 units at school and workin 40 hours a week so i havent had time for much of anything unfortunately...plus im thinking im gonna need a new transmission here pretty soon so im probably gonna have to tackle that before i can start addressing the interior.

How do you like it? I suppose you bought the generic model instead of one made for a specific model, right? JB

Re: T.W. Bouska's 74 El Camino/My Daily Driver (UPDATED 12/19/10)
i actually havent even gotten around to installing it yet, but i know there isnt anywhere for me to put the hoses without some mods, i didnt know they made a specific one, i thought it was pretty much universal. is there still an offer for the free one?
