1975 Laguna - still in the gathering parts phase. Still has original 350/th350 combo with swivel buckets and gauges

There is scuttlebutt about Tom Bailey's "Sick the Mag" picking up some of the classes.
I had been with the NMCA since 1994 so I feel a bit like I'm without a rudder.

76 Laguna located in central Alabama. There aren`t many A body`s around here. I think they got used up on the dirt tracks.

Went 9.56 @ 139 mph in testing at Milan Dragway.

I've read about the NMCA going belly up Keith. That's a shame for sure. It would be VERY difficult to try and run in F.A.S.T. for sure.
It'd be cool if Tom Bailey were to pick up some of the classes. Good lick sir!

Since I'm new...a couple shots of my El Camino with a a few day 2 changes. Had to repaint the RED wheels to de-circus wagon it, added 6 cylinder car caps because the rally caps didn't feel right on this car. Â Previous owner removed and sold the sport mirrors and replaced with auto store specials, so I had to source some from ePay. Lots to do yet!

Welcome aboard We have a Section for projects also (even when it's a done one like yours) it just follows the changes in life it occurs

Looks much better without the red wheels. I like the look with the 1967 center caps. I did the same thing on mine back in the 80’s

Thank you. I also repainted the red grill badge and cleaned the red paint off of the El Camino grill script, as well as repainting the oddly red cowl debris grill. As my wife said when she first saw the car, it was too much "every-other".

Agree on the rally wheel color, and center caps.
At one time I had a set of stock derby caps, a set of cut down derby caps, a set of ’67 disc brake caps, and a set of flat Police caps.
I ended up not running any of ‘em.

I am still around as well and loving my 76. Got lots of summer driving in but going for its long winter nap soon. Collecting parts to do a bucket seat and console swap. Running 350/350 combo with a Q-Jet swapped in place of the old 2GC.
