Frame to body mounts?
Anybody know who makes them. Underbody is lined and ready to go on frame but want to get new mounts. Everything else is new so don't want to stop now. Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Frame to body mounts?
how many body mount bushings come in the prothane kit? i was thinking of replacing the 4 cushions with regular mounts, i haven't been able to find any kit that comes with the cushions so i was just planning on using regular mounts... don't really know why they didnt do that in the first place... but anyways i need to find a kit with 14 mounts, anyone know anything?

Re: Frame to body mounts?
I bought the poly set for a 96 Caprice 9c1, since the B-body frame is very similar to our 73-77 A-body. When I pull the body off the 73 I will compare the bushings for everyones info. Scott

Re: Frame to body mounts?
The Parts Place has the stock type mount bushings for A bodies. That's where I bought mine. Decent price too.....

It would be great to have someone actually see if the early Caprice even come close73CopperMonte wrote: I bought the poly set for a 96 Caprice 9c1, since the B-body frame is very similar to our 73-77 A-body. When I pull the body off the 73 I will compare the bushings for everyones info. Scott

Re: Frame to body mounts?
I should mention that someone on another forum bought some mounts that didn't come with the metal bushings. Not easy to locate the metal bushings separately, so, a word to the wise......make sure you get mounts with the bushings

Re: Frame to body mounts?
Just so you know, if you upgrade to the polyurethane, the original bushings do not fit.

Re: Frame to body mounts?
That's good to know. One thing for sure, the poly bushings will last longer than rubber.
Only negative I've seen discussed about the poly bushings is that there's no give in them, for slight frame-to-body differences, like the rubber type have.
