Valve Cover Gaskets
I'm sure this has been discussed a time or two (lol!)...but, I was either not paying attention or memory is fading. What is the best valve cover gasket for stock SBC (350) engine? Like everything else you read online, everybody has their favorite. Cork? Rubber? Cork/Rubber? Fel-Pro Permadry? What thickness? Use RTV with your favorite? Help...I got a leaker, here!

Re: Valve Cover Gaskets
Ever since GM started using reusable tranny pan gaskets I've loved them. Easy off easy on. No glue or cements. And they have a rigid frame inside so they dont get out of shape and you cant overtighten.
Just like these. http://www.speedwaymotors.com/Speedway-Small-Block-Chevy-Steel-Core-Valve-Cover-Gaskets-Pre-1986,1872.html

Re: Valve Cover Gaskets
think its felpro that has the rubber gaskets. I've used them and loved the no leakes and if i needed too rebuild i could reuse. pluse the oil pan gaskets are one pc and i never had a leak from them. only thing is you need a longer v/c bolt if i remember right. ones for aluminum covers
