Re: Kyle's Red 1973 Chevelle SS 454 wagon project
I have more recent pictures that I'll post soon. I've torn down the front end and acquired a rebuilt 454 that I plan to install after I get the new front end parts installed. I hope she can move under her own power by summer.
If you happen to have any leads on parts, especially door panels, seats that are in good 'driver' condition, please PM me.
The frame is solid, but the floor pans are a mess. Any advice/interchange possibilities would be much appreciated.
I'm also not in love with the turbine wheels, so if they are something that may interest you and you live close to Kansas City, also PM me and we can work something out.

Looks likes a great starting point, a solid looking foundation. If you weren't so far out from me I would be interested in the turbines, maybe sometime I will be in your neck of the woods or vise versa! Love the car though, thanks for sharing!

There are a couple of wagons up my way. Here's a pic of one of them. Obviously, the upper door panels won't be the same as on yours. Can't remember what kind of shape the interiors are on either. Be glad to check them out if you want to send me a list.

Re: Kyle's Red 1973 Chevelle SS 454 wagon project
My plan is to keep it fairly stock, so you don't have to worry about me doing anything crazy like that! The 454 that is going in it is actually from a 1973 Chevelle.
I'm considering putting in buckets and a console, but am not sure about it yet. I've already acquired buckets, the console, and a steering column.
I'm definitely going to upgrade to full gauges. I was lucky to find a full gauge setup out of a 73 El Camino SS, so it has the correct style gauges/font on the gauges.
I know the old adage is to love the one you've got, but I was one of the guys who was hot after that yellow 73 wagon on eBay/Craigslist back in fall 2013. My wife really preferred the yellow (our 69 SS is Daytona yellow), and it was definitely more solid than the basket case I brought home. That one was simply too expensive to ship to Missouri. Does anybody know where it ended up?

I've added several new pictures. I got to the point today where I'm finally ready to begin reassembling the front end once I get the A arms back from the shop that is pressing in the bushings for me!

Where is up here? I need a lower rear section from a drivers fender in good shape for a patch panel. That pic looks like that fender could be. Lol

"Up here" is in Minnesota...and you aren't going to find fenders on these cars that aren't rusted. Sorry...

Sadly, I need to sell this with a baby on the way, so I've provided some additional information in the For Sale forum and here.

That's too bad, you've done some nice work on the car! No chance of just mothballing it until time/money permits later?

Re: Kyle's Red 1973 Chevelle SS 454 wagon project
That was what I had intended to do, but I just have too many other projects. I really need to get rid of 2 of them... just not sure if the other one I'm going to sell is going to be the 73 Z or the 79 El Camino.
