1973 Chevelle SS 350 Project
Here are pictures of the 1973 SS Chevelle 350 that I purchased late Dec 2016.
It sat for 28 years on in the same spot on a bumper jack (drivers front).
The body is actually in decent shape, but the interior is shot. I have most of the replacement pieces to go in it and I picked up swivel buckets and console with shifter. I hope to get it going this summer. The engine turns over, but I haven't really tried to get it started yet.
Some additional photos of different wheels/tires and checking electrical circuits.

Nice find. I parted out an exact same one but it had buckets. I paid $20 for mine.

Nice find sir. I think I saw it someplace on Craigslist?
Are those stock 14" SS wheels, or aftermarket 15"?

The pics in the grass have the original rallies. Later pics as the earlier rallies

I guess I should have asked what size the wheels are in the pictures on the trailer. lol

Re: 1973 Chevelle SS 350 Project
I kind of like the early rally rims on there. I know they are usually used on the 68-72 models, they look cool on the 73 though. But to be 100 percent perfect, the rears need to be a little bigger. They sit to far in for my taste, but if they where bigger it would be really Nice on there.
Nice score by the Way. It looks as if it is in fair condition, and would be easy to get on the Road again.

Re: 1973 Chevelle SS 350 Project
Hs1973 take a look at these. You can get them up to 15x10. I'm leaning towards them on mine. The price is a bit steep, but if you look at the price of most wheels, they're not too bad.

Re: 1973 Chevelle SS 350 Project
Thanks Team Members!
I do live in the KC area, and yes I changed the wheels out. I have an extra set of 68-70 SS rims that I put on temporarily. I have all of the center caps and rings for the originals. I'll move these tires over to the originals. I wanted to get it sitting up on all 4 before rolling it off the trailer. I did get all "new" (parts from other cars) interior pieces, to include swivels and console/shifter. I also have a parts car that I will use the windshield and passenger floor pans out of. The engine turns and all fluids have been replaced. I have removed and rebuilt the starter and hope to try to start it this weekend.

Re: 1973 Chevelle SS 350 Project
Good parts car. Work carefully around the 73 seat crossmember to try to save it. Its a 73-74 only part. The later years will work but look different and take a different bucket seat mount on the front tunnel side. But it will work if you locate that mount or fab one up.

I learned some thing new today on cross-members. Thanks

Great car and so nice to see a fellow 73' SS 350.
What color was it originally?
Also I never knew the SS came without buckets.

Re: 1973 Chevelle SS 350 Project
Pretty cool. Would be nice to know if mine had any special options as my dad ordered it. He passed on a showroom 72' SS 454 and actually waited 3 months because he wanted the "new model" 73'. I always give him a hard time telling him he could have had a $100,000 car for less money.

Re: 1973 Chevelle SS 350 Project
Yours probably still has the build sheet hidden in there somewhere. Easiest place to check is springs under the front seat.
