Re: Cruise Pics!
There is always a good experience at Somerset. Sure wish I could go, but my health puts a damper on it. Anyone that can make it will not regret going. JB

Re: Cruise Pics!
I hoped to get more of a response from this. Aren't there any G3 members in the area that could come down for the day?

Re: Cruise Pics!
I wish I could but that's a bit far for me. (The furthest I've ever driven my '74 was about a hour away from the house) 426 miles according to my vz navigator.

Re: Cruise Pics!
I have to seatbelt pieces for the front in the center of the seat to bolt in and bolt down the back of the front seat and she is ready to roll for Saturday.
Yesterday I installed two new (re-manufactured) Cardon calipers on the front, new pads and new hoses. I also got the seatbelts for the back installed and the seat bolted in as well as the rearview mirror bracket glued back on. It was a productive evening.

Re: Cruise Pics!
Ok. Updates. Friday night before the car show I touched up some paint on the top, got another coat on the hood and painted the trunk lid. I replaced the tail panel and tail light with those that I got from Tom on here. I finished all that by around 2:00 AM and went to bed.
Saturday morning, put in the seat belts and strapped in the kids car seats. Chelsea's seat was a very tight fit and I had to scoot the passenger side of the seat a little more forward than the drivers seat. It worked though.
We went to Cumberland Falls and back to the car show. I told my wife that I would most likely be the only G3 Chevelle there, but I was wrong. There was a green 74 with a 4 inch cowl hood. The rear bumper was tucked and was a powered by a 502. There was also a slick black Monte with swivel bucket seats and a Buick. I wasn't sure of the exact years, but were all G3's. I should have some pics this weeks some time, possibly tomorrow.

Re: Cruise Pics!
I never got to talk to any of them except the Monte owner, who didn't seem to care to talk to me. I told him about the site, but he kinda wrote me off. Oh, well, his loss!

Re: Cruise Pics!
OK, finally got my pics uploaded to the computer. Here are a few from car show day.
The first two are from when we first got to the show. New coat of paint on the hood and my lovely wife and kids on the left.
Newly installed tail panel on the right side with painted deck lid to match.
Dirty engine compartment which is being cleaned and updated a bit in the next few weeks.

Re: Cruise Pics!
Thought about going with a hodrod black. Not really a straight flat black, but not gloss. More like a satin black. Still thinking about it. The tucked bumpers are already in the plans.
