Truck broke, had to buy a 1976 Malibu photos.
So my Dakota blew a head gasket or something and now has a rod nock, so I had to get something to drive while I fix it. My 74 Malibu is at my buddies place for paint and isnt done.
But I found this on Craigslist here in town and was forced to buy it!!

obviously not a 454 but maybe that air cleaner will make the motor feel better about itself, does have a performer manifold and carb though.
2200$ runs like a champ.

Some guy I met in a parking lot told me he'd sell me a VCR for fifty bucks. Too good a deal to pass up, so I went for it. Imagine my surprise when I opened the box and there was a '76 Malibu in it!

Yeah, I guess I could have bought a more sensible little gas mizer newer car and save some dough on gas but you only live once!
And it feels like I'm on top of the world when driving this and rocking some tunes down the freeway, this Malibu also has a tapedeck as my other one does too! So I have my old tape collection out, which I dig, mostly metal and punk with some good hair bands mixed in.
Got off work late last night at 11 and rolled home on the commute on a quiet freeway and have'nt had such a good drive in a long time. I love these big ol' A bodies.[img][/img]

Only problem now is that this Malibu is way nicer and has much less rust than my 74. And I probly can't afford to have two of these around forever so I'm gonna need to decide on one eventually most likely,
Wait, theres a 73 El Camino on craigslist right now............I think I could take out the laurel bushes and get just a little more space............

Nice score. I'm sure that it didn't take much to pop your shoulder back in place from the arm twisting required to get it.

Wow, that thing is super clean, price seems right too. Nice find! Looks good in white too, is it just me or are the Rallys white too?

the rallys are white and look pretty cool but the paint is a bit dingy, and I think a fresh coat of argeant silver might be in order cuz I like the silver rally look.

I was thinking about some Centerline Convo Pros or maybe Weld draglites for the 74 Malibu so the 76 May inherit the Art Hale centerline copies I have on the 74 currently

Honestly I dig the Rallys painted to match the body, I think it looks great. One of the few colors where it actually looks good.
