hows this look?
and btw here is a small pic of my friend carlos' el camino
take a lil more off the sides and leave the center part black or make it look like two seperate grill section by using the middle of the grill as a reference (optical Illiusion) type of thing

Re: and chevelle pin on hood
How does it look? Hmmm..... get rid of the square headlights for some round ones. LOL just kidding. I think I'd clean up the center section like Limey said to make it look like two separate buckets.

Hmmm...that would make it look too much like an Oldsmobile. You KNOW you don't want THAT. Just kidding. JB

Re: and chevelle pin on hood
I love gloss black, but you have to have contrast in certian areas to make it balance out. If the contrast is chrome, that is good, if it is an alternate color or stripes, thats also good. One thing I don't like is a big black glob of something coming at you. The pic with the black front bumper on the Elky does not look bad, and that is not usually the way I think. There is a fellow locally who has a mid 70s Elky who has it painted gloss black with stock chrome and it looks great. It does not have the big slab of chrome on the side that my Classic has and I like it better without it. This fellow made one big mistake, he painted EVERYTHING under the hood (except the engine) gloss black and it looks terrible. There is a car show today and I am stuck home with no way to go, sniff, sniff. JB
