Re: bumper questions
what do you mean the inner bolts? if you are talking about the metal piece that has all of the 4 bolts attached to it those bolts are not long enough if you are sinking it in more than an inch you have to get long skinny bolts or you could make the holes wider for thicker bolts which i might end up doing for strength =]

Re: bumper questions
oh no where i cut the hole thats where you have to slip over the round part on the bumper shocks, i guess once you have it on there you could weld a piece but you wouldnt ever be able to take off the bumper again

Re: bumper questions
alright guys so i have already started to sink in the rear bumper i measured it to where i need the bumper at and its going to be either 1.5 again or 2 inches probably 2 tho
but it took me forever to get that bumper frame out of the back because all but 2 bolts had to be cut/ grinded out what a pain in the butt!!!
but i cut the frame out and just have the 2 end pieces just like the front and one of em i have bolted on the car so i know this will work just the same as the front with strong bolts
but before i can put the bumper back together i need to save up a few bucks and get 2 cans of paint, and 4 thick strong bolts with washers and then the bumper will go back on
right now this is what the bumper looks like with everything in the black cut out

Re: bumper questions
alright so i have all the pieces ready for paint on the rear bumper i have it on the car right now to see how its going to look and it looks great!
now wen my friend comes over later i will beg him to take some pictures, but i should have some up of the front and back by tomorrow at the latest
i just have to think what i am going to do about the impact strip its the rally version so it has the 2 pieces in the center of the bumper that go vertically
id like to keep it on but its all tore up on the sides and if i take it off there will be a bunch of holes where it used to bolt on, any one have any ideas? i was thinking about trying to make a custom strip out of metal that i could paint black and bolt to the bumper like sheet metal or something

Re: bumper questions
alright starting to feel like i am talking to myself here, oh well its always nice to think aloud, you guys must not know a ddamn thing about front and rear bumpers lmfao!
but here goes again ill be talking to myself if one of you guys happen to overhear me please help
when i grinded off some of the rear bumper bolts (the smooth ones where the impact strip goes) it kind of scratched the chrome but it was the only way to get that damn thing off, what im asking is, DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW TO FIX THIS? i want to make it all chrome again so i can take this ugly impact strip off

Re: bumper questions
Take it to any good chromeplating shop and they can weld up any holes you have and rechrome the bumper for you. It may cost you $300 to $600. Is that what you are asking? JB

Re: bumper questions
i guess, id rather get a different bumper for that price, but what i am asking is could i make something to replace the impact strip?

Re: bumper questions
I guess I'm drawing a blank from this damn head cold, because I can't picture what it looks like without the strip....... chrome shop is gonna be the only fix for the nicked bumper though.

Re: bumper questions
Just an idea & I'm not sure how it would turn out, but how about filling the holes with some SS bolts? Heck, I bet the intake bolts that you can buy from Summit with the bowties would work & give you a unique look. Again, just throwing something out there.

Re: bumper questions
Can't help on the panel. Most cameras come with a USB adapter that plugs into computers. Even the cheapies have a spot to plug the adapter cord into. I'm pretty sure you can buy replacement cords if need be.
