ok i took the crap outta my trunk FINALLY from the move car sat real nice but dam I re-installed the bumper from hell and it went right back to the height it was when the crap was in the trunk, has any one ever used them and liked them well enough?? And how do they mount do you have to use the heavy shocks or do they come wuith there own mounting brackets ??

Dan i want the firberglass on the back NOT the front, but now that i look at the picture it doesn't really look all that bad I guess. its actually sitting pretty nice and when i drop the front 2" it will rotate it where i want it 100% I believe so anyway's. LOL

Not for a daily bro. At least in my opinion.
Too much frame tweaking, gas tank spiltting, fender crunching, trunklid folding possibility without something stiff back there for gramps to bump into at the stoplight.

On the other hand, you could pull the 75 lbs of inner bracing out and trim away about half of it as long as your year bumper has some girth to it.

I HAVE BOTH FRONT AND REAR ON BISCAYNE...........LOOK FINE...
OF COURSE NO PROTECTION OR BUMPER JACKING IF YOU HAVE FLAT!!!

pull the bumper off and cut away all of the inner bracing that you don't need- just leave enough to mount the bumper to the shocks.
i did this to the front of my monte, and i threw away about 50 pounds of 1/8" steel. the bumper is still heavy, but not nearly as heavy.
if i ever find a good rear bumper, i'm gonna do the same back there, too.

got a 1974 here if you wanna do that...... pretty dam good chrome as well, was saving for bobs77mali but he has some stuff to deal with right now, so he is passing on it
