Re: what are you running?
Change carb. to at least a 600 or 650 cfm.(if your originally a 2 barrel) Use an aluminum intake, bolt on some headers, 2.5 in. pipes with good quality mufflers, change plugs plug wires and recurve the dizzy. For Starters! I run a high mileage 350 (stock bottom end), crane 272 cam, edelbrock performer rpm intake, ported and polished 2.02 /1.60 cast iron heads, and a Proform 750 cfm race style carb. Full MSD ignition. Hooker headers, 2.5 in. pipes with flowmasters. Never timed the car so I have no idea its 1/4 mile times. But it sure is fun, and not too bad on gas. Stock rear-end, I don't even know what size gears are in it. I broke my 4.11 posi shortly before I spun a bearing in the 454. Starting over with the 454.

Re: what are you running?
ZZ4 Crate engine. 355hp achievement unlocked
Is your engine stock? Or what motor are you starting with? As far as bolt on parts, you can get the biggest baddest parts out there, but its more about the right combination of parts to get max hp and tq.

Re: what are you running?
97 Vortec 350 w/performer rpm intake and a 600 cfm cam with an XE268 Comp Cam. Accel HEI Distro w/ super coil and stock delco iridium plugs.
Hooker 1 5/8 headers to 2.5 pipes with electric dumps before they exit thru flowmasters.
Here's a screen cap of the desktop dyno results for this build.
Kinda hard to see the results but 387 HP @ 5500rpm and 412 ft/lbs of torque @ 4000rpm
Well, at least thats what It's supposed to put out. I'll know in the spring once its all back together.
