New project for my son
My wife has been bugging me about cleaning up around the outside of the house. My son has half a dozen bikes laying around. Some of which are good parts bikes. So, rather than throw them away I found a new project. I took the frame from one and bent the forks forward, then cut them and stretched them 10". Welded it together and body worked it to make it seamless.
Got it primed this weekend at work. Already decided on a color. It'll be cyber green metallic (2006-2010 wv beetle color) but I'll add coarse silver metal flake. Going to get some 13" chrome ape hanger handle bars, sparkle white banana seat and 24" chrome sissy bar, some white grips, paint the wheels white gloss. I'll post up some pics as I make some progress on it. At least it won't look like every single kids bike out there. My 10 year old is excited about riding it.
