THIS IS FOR A LOCAL FRIEND needs it like yesterday he is paypal ready and did I say he needs it badly

still am in need of the little spring that keeps pressure on the automatic trans linkage rod. (the spring that is missing in my pic) I took my car apart a year ago and cant find my spring.....

Did he try a local hardware store? By the nuts and bolts they usually have draws with all kinds of cool stuff in there. They definitely carry springs of all sizes and diameters.

is he still looking for the spring? I found my old one and was going to hit the hardware store some time and find a new one. when I do I can give the info for what the new one is and the measurements of the old one.

He likely needs that cone-shaped white plastic end piece that retains the spring on the frame bracket too...

Losing little parts is part of what we do !! Very Happy

ok for the spring the measurements are 5/8" diameter and 2 3/4 length. the wire gauge is between 0.54 or 0.63 , 0.41 was too weak. still working on finding the exact spring, menards by me didn't have it so Ill try a real hardware store tomorrow. 0.63 seemed like a good tension compared to my old one but that was 3/4 diameter and the tighter coil might make it stronger as well. Hopefully Ace will have a better selection like they have for everything else I have needed.
