1973 SS PROJECT
Here's some pics of my 73 ss that i have been working on this summer.
It's just about ready for paint. she's in her guide coat and all jambed black.
I think the next step is to get her running before it goes to my friends shop to be painted.
hopefully it will be painted before the end of year.
It feels like it taking forever...I guess that's what happens when i only can work on it a couple of hours 1 or 2 days a week.

Re: 1973 SS PROJECT
I don't have any recent pics i have to take some more.
The nose is back on the car the engine is allmost ready to run.
I'm just trying to finish up the welding to the floors and rear wheel wells. once i get that done i can git it off the jack stands and get some more pics of it.
This project is taking longer then expected. hopefully i can get it done for this summer...

Re: 1973 SS PROJECT
YEAH I HEAR YA.
When i restored my orange 73 laguna that's how i did it.I fixed it up while i was driving it. I just want the body on the ss to be super straight so i spent alot of extra time on the body. Black shows everything...I can't wait to get some color on this thing...
Hey, sorry to hear about limey. But you know what they say everything happens for a reason...

Re: 1973 SS PROJECT
Looks good, G3NUT. Is it an original SS 454 4 speed? I love your orange Laguna. That color really works on that car!

Re: 1973 SS PROJECT
Thanks, Yes it's an original ss 4 speed but it came thru the factory with a 350ci.
Thanks, Yeah i sold it 2 years ago.My kids loved driving in that car. i painted that car in my garage with nason single stage urethane 1974 gm bright orange.
It was a fun car to drive 427 bb w/muncie 4 spd and 3.42 posi. swivel buckets.
Believe it or not i bought this car off ebay for $300. it was brown with a siezed small block engine and a 3 speed auto trans 3.07 non posi rearend and bench seat interior.
My avatar pic is the only picture i have left of the car...when my computer crashed i lost all my pics of the car. Oh well...

Re: 1973 SS PROJECT
I don't recall seeing that color on my 74 paint chart. I haven't looked at it in a while though. I like it anyway!
