White HVAC Face
I ordered a white overlay for my HVAC controls but Whiteguages.net sent me the wrong ones, twice. They eventually sent me the correct ones and told me to keep the incorrect ones. I do recommend whiteguages.net, I used installed the ones for the tach, speedo and other dash gauges and they look good plus they made sure I received the correct part after sending me incorrect ones.
I have two overlays for the 1973-1977 HVAC controls that I don't need. I will put them in an envelope and send them to anyone who wants them. They stick to the outside of the guage on the plastic.
Here is a link for them:

Re: White HVAC Face
I looked at their web site and it says LED lighting is not available for our cars. Anybody know why they wouldn't work in a 73?

Re: White HVAC Face
There's no reason it shouldn't that I'm aware of. They probably just didn't bother to try.
I've replaced every light on the car (except headlights) with LEDs. Granted, my stock HVAC controls are long gone, but IIRC they were simply fed by one or two 194 bulbs like everything else in the dash. There are several styles of LED (some much brighter) available that plug right in place of them.

Re: White HVAC Face
These are labeled 1977 so I'm not sure if they came on other years or not but this is what my controls look like:

The part number on the packaging was correct but they had the incorrect overlay in the packaging.

Re: White HVAC Face
Super bright LEDs will have them. Look for 194/168 equivalents or use their vehicle bulb finder.
