Frame and Body Bushings
So most of you know I want to go with a protouring daily driver theme. Ideally I would like to get a custom built chassis, but that is just a dream, so I have been thinking of borrowing the chassis from the 75 I plan to give my son down the road. It is in very rough shape and needs to get out of the rain anyway. I am thinking of pulling the body off the frame and putting the body in my moms barn up off the ground instead of back in her field rotting away.
I want to get some cheap lumber from my brother in law and build something just large enough to hide it in and keep it dry. I plan to work on it this winter. Sand it, clean it, re-weld it where needed maybe add some extra bracing here and there. I want to get serious on the hunt for some upgraded front and rear brakes. I am tired of this thing not wanting to stop!
Ok, so now that you kinda have the low down of what I am thinking of doing do you have any tips for me as to where to start and where can I find the body bushings I know I will need those. I remember someone talking about them recently, but I could not find the thread.

Re: Frame and Body Bushings
The parts place has exact urethane bushings for our "Colonnade" Chevelles. It's a pain to search their site but they're there, down to the exact replacements for the core support (with new hardware!). If all else fails- call them up.

Re: Frame and Body Bushings
Call them, and ask for "Van" he's a good guy....
That's also where I bought my body bushings, windshield, gas tank, etc...
There is a diagram in the service manual for those years, as to where the mounts are placed.

I have also talked to Van, he is very knowledgeable. He helped me sort out a blinker cam problem before I wasted money on parts.

Thanks for the tips. I will remember that or at least refer back to this thread when the time comes. " I can't remember anything!"
