Can any one tell me if I need this screen in
The bottom of the gas tank sender ?
Mine came off and it's made to the sender . It's either that it buy a complete sender

You definitely need the sock on the pickup tube.  They may be available separately. Do an online search etc...
Ask Rockauto on their site.

The tank sender units are scarce for this generation of the GM cars by the way....

Don't they sell those socks at auto parts stores?? Those are on a myriad of vehicles. I would think you could just slip a new one over the pickup tube and zip tie it on there.
Just checked on e bay and found all different styles 10-20 bucks

I bought mine from a place called Quanta. They specialize in gas tanks and radiators and heater cores.
