Coolant Temp Sender
Can someone confirm whether or not it's necessary to drain the coolant when replacing the Gauge/Warning Light Coolant Temp Sensor that's located between cylinders #1 and #3 below the exhaust manifold? Or, will just a little coolant seep out if it's not drained?

It will leak out until the level in the rad is equal to the left so of the sender. You might be able to do a quick swap and not lose much.

I agree with Joe. Any water in the intake or head above it will drain out when you remove it. If you're quick, you won't lose much.

Thanks, gentlemen...I suspected as much. It's too cold now to be messing with spilled coolant...so, this goes on the back burner until Spring.
