Strange & Unusual Junk Yard Finds
There was a thread for this topic some time ago, but I couldn't find it in the archives. Anyway, I had a "find" the other day that reminded me of it and thought I'd share my latest by starting a new one.
Okay...so, I was looking around the inside of a '75 Eldorado at the local Pick 'n Pull and happened to notice a quarter laying on the floor under the front edge of the driver side power seat. Not one to be too proud to pick up a quarter, I reached down and grabbed it. I then noticed another a little further under the seat. Picked that one up, too...and, peered even further under the seat. Spotted several more. I kept scrounging and kept finding more...and, more...and, more. Then, a small envelope with maybe 20 quarters in it. Then, another small plastic bag with another 15 or so. Was like hitting the jackpot at the casino! When it was all said and done, I had 76 quarters (that's $19.00 to those who are mathematically challenged)! Only other time I experienced a significant money find was when I uncovered two 1921 silver dollars behind the lower interior plastic trim separating the front and rear door panels on a 4-dr Caprice.

Re: Strange & Unusual Junk Yard Finds
no j-yard story here, but for years i picked up lease returns from dealerships going to auction. i might of made 75 dollars or so a month just by loose change. in one car was a brand new 20,another car had an Ipod, and another car had a Tom-Tom in it,and omy all the phone chargers. now mind you,the owner goes through them, then it sits at the dealer for awhile, than i get it. so there is enough time for someone else besides me to get the stuff.
thats also where my plate collection came from.i have 26 out of 50 states, and about 30 different ohio vanity plates. again, not my fault if you left them behind.

Dang that's a good haul! I only found like "Tree-Fiddy"-($3.50) under my rear bench....Quarters, dimes & lots of nickels and pennies. I also found Mali's cigarette lighter

Re: Strange & Unusual Junk Yard Finds
This is off a little but about two months ago a car (ratty a$$ 90 something cutlass) came in with a noise in the rear. The man driving it was probably 65/70 years old. We opened the trunk and found a huge d---o (sex toy) he started questioning what we were doing, looking for a noise dumb a$$. We drove him home (after he retrieved something from his trunk) he wrapped "it" in s towel and took it with him.lol.

Re: Strange & Unusual Junk Yard Finds
My buddy had a Chevy van for a few years, and figured it needed a new carpet in the back end, by the rear doors. When He removed the old carpet, there were 3 100 dollar bills stuck under it !
