dash cover
I finally bought a dash cap/cover, and painted it yesterday. Today I installed it. It covered all the cracks !

Re: dash cover
I hope you didn't get one from "Coverlay". I tossed mine there was a gap of about 1.5" to the windshield & the defroster openings were off too as a result.

Re: dash cover
Personally, I liked the dashes before they started putting all that padding on them. JB

Re: dash cover
I bought the cover from NPD (National Parts Depot) It was about 130 bucks with shipping, in a huge box ! I put that same cover on the dash in my Malibu, so now they look alike, with the same color, same radio, and same mini gauges ! I guess I'm a creature of habit:D

Re: dash cover
So I have been looking into these but want to know if the Coverlay one is that bad . I can get one for 85.00. Or is it worth the extra money for the N.P.D. one?

Re: dash cover
That's right! I blew $110.00 w/ shipping that could have gone to a much better cause. The grain on their caps is all wrong (not even close!), the openings around the A/C vents are way off and in my case- the Farcking thing didn't even reach the windshield- the openings for the defroster vents laid down about an inch too short. Total crap.
Maybe the one Pila got from NPD was a different manufacturer or maybe I just got really unlucky.

Re: dash cover
Thanks, well no need to risk it then . There are some also on eBay but thinking they are Coverlay also . If I could find someplace remaking originals I would go that way .
