Went to a show today and saw two Buicks and an Olds 442.
All would have been a welcome addition to our board.
I dropped em a note, we will see what happens

It has begun, look at this month's (July 2009) PHR mag. There's another feature on Project Talledega, a separate spotlight on DSE's new G3 suspension, & a small article with 2 Laguna's towards the front of the mag (Laguna of the month).

But with this coolness comes something ridiculous. On page 98, look at the gawd awful 71 Chevelle in the line up. Ewwwwwww... Also, after finally putting proper lowered springs in Project Talledega, they cut those too! What gives?

Hmm... nearly 27k spent so far, all of it spent ridiculously. 700-R4, well you know where I stand on that one. Butchered springs. I love black primer, & NASCAR theme would have been cool, but honestly it looks more like a future dirt track car than anything so thumbs down there too. I guess you're right, he is a moron.

BUT i do have to thank him for bringing all these G3'ers out of the wood work like he has, to showcase how much better he COULD have built it, i do give him that in the least. and he did the car how he wanted..... like i always said, in the begining but he chose wrong on alot of the aspects of it.

Amen to that, I have gotten so many compliments on my car & it's stock. My old 76 rarely got noticed 8 years ago, so something has happened because it was a nicer ride IMO. I just had a couple of guys from work doing the old walk around today when I was leaving to go to the post office. LOL, funny how all of the sudden everyone has either owned one or knew of someone that did.

Was only a matter of time. With the more sought after classics going for far more scratch than any Joe-Schmoe could ever afford... it's only natural that Joe Schmoe would turn to the less appreciated cars.

Our unloved land yachts will suddenly become quite popular.

Howdy fellas, new guy here.
I just bought my car, and these things are getting easier to find, and more expensive when you do. I've been looking at the G3s off and on for a couple of years, and the prices for SOME of them are rising. Particularly the lagunas, Can Ams, Hursts etc. Theres a nice laguna on ebay right now, buy it now of $20,000. I don't think it will go for that much, but last time i looked, it was north of 8 grand with plenty of time left. i'm starting to see more of them at local shows in what used to be the land of only camaros, mustangs vettes etc. guy had what i think was a 73 GTO at a show sat.

Have not figured out all the tricks to this site. I loaded up some pics from this weekends car show in my gallery. Could not figure how to get them in a post. Who ever controls the Car gallery's, feel free to put them in there if you want.

land yacht? hell i know its big but this is the best damn car ive ever drove. it puts all these new cars to shame and thats with no suspension on my poor car. its comfortable, handles well and is fairly nimble for 4000 lbs of pure metal. when you wind it up you hardly know how fast your going until your eyes drift to the speedo. just got a month to wait and then it gets the royal treatment new bushings springs drop spindles and new rims and tires all the way around. ill be takeing down new vettes and porsches once again.

they have always been out there, it's just that people are now fixing them up because they can't afford the "real" musclecars.
just because they haven't been talking about them in magazines doesn't mean that they haven't been out and about- it's just that they used to be "just another old car" to most people.
