Re: Wallys 74 project
Was driving the Laguna on Sunday. What a nice wife to take some Videos of me, She gets a kick out of burnouts. 5.3 fuel injected it so sweet!

I know its been a while since some any updates. so yes its running a driving.
It is for sale just not advertized any where. Was hoping someone from this site might want to buy it.

I would definitely take it if I could. I have something rattling in the top end of mine now. Hoping that just need to adjust a rocker arm or something.

I'm not in the market but curious what you think these cars are worth with an LS transplant?

Re: Wallys 74 project
Did you swap an LS into that car? Â I thought it went into the 73...I'm confused.
Sounds awesome! Â That's quite a patch too

It has a 5.3 out of a chevy Taho with the 4L60E trans so yes its a LS style set up just has truck intake. It was the test car to make sure it would work then I dropped the LS3 into my 73 malibu.

Re: Wallys 74 project
So what are you going to do with the Hood since I don't see away to get that Shaker Hood installed on the LS motor ? Are you going to swap it out ? or have you figured a way to get the shaker to retro fit your car

Nope it fits just fine. Would be a simple bracket that bolts to well-nuts on top of intake and hood closes. See photo of it sitting on intake with hood closed. Has about 1- 1&1/2" clearance for bracket yet.

So push it up into the hole cut out of hood.
And it will look like this.

Covers up the big old intake nice if you ask me. This is one unique car that's for sure.
Sorry Limey that hood is staying put. Ha, unless you buy the whole car then you can have it ALL my friend. The scoop just twists on to the stock air filter and I have one so was going to use the stock air cleaner lid and mount it to intake then twist on scoop and wa-la a real shaker scoop to boot.

Bet if you tried listing it online (for the masses) you could sell it- just link to those videos. Everyone here already has and/or is working on one. Unless of course, secretly, you want to keep it & maybe give it to the Mrs.
If I only had the extra Ca$h...
