Re: Windshield swaps?
I don't believe station wagon and sedan are swappable to a coupe.
As far as I know, beyond that, they should be.
I'm sure someone who knows more will pipe up.

Re: Windshield swaps?
According to OPGI
64-77 Elcamino & Chevelle are the same. Found this on the site w/ Antenna.

Re: Windshield swaps?
OPGI is incorrect. There is no way 1st or 2nd gen glass will fit in a 3rd gen.
1973-77 wagon, 4-door sedan, & El Camino share the same dimensions.
Coupe (2-door) is different.
If unsure what you have, measure the winshield vertically and you will find the difference in windshields from a 2-door and 4-door models.

Re: Windshield swaps?
I just checked the part numbers for the Chevelle versus the El Camino windshields....they are different. And I wasn't aware of this until this thread showed up !

Re: Windshield swaps?
Now that's a Chevelle coupe right?
Sounds like the sedan, station wagon, and El Camino share a windsheild. Anyone know if that is the same with all El Caminos even back to 59-60?
When did El Caminos start sharing the frame/wheelbase with the station wagons?

I couldn't find a source for sedan & wagon windshields, so it's a good question.....

Re: Windshield swaps?
Any reputable auto glass shop can get just about any windshield for you because insurance companies are required to replace a windshield free of charge with no deductable if you haave full coverage. I know its true here and I assume it is a federal rule. JB

Re: Windshield swaps?
Out of curiosity today, I was pulling parts at the yard and remembered this debate about El Camino windshields fitting other "A" bodies. There is a '74 Elky sitting next to a '75 Laguna. Pulled the windshield moldings and measured them up...top to bottom...side to side in different spots. Lo and behold, they are exactly the same size. Even the moldings are interchangeable. There...that's my contribution to this debate!

Re: Windshield swaps?
El Caminos shared sedan/wagon wheelbase until 1978. then they went from 116" to 117" while the rest of the A/G bodies went to 108"
78-87 El Caminos use the same windshield as the two door/Monte Carlos. Sedan and wagon ARE different/ taller.
I wondered if the 73-77 cars did that, but I have noticed my 4 door windshield seems higher than the 68-72 convertibles. I don't have to hunch down to see under the header on mine, where on my buddies, I have to.
