sold it
no not the malibu or my chevelle. i sold my 86 escort for 500 to some nerd that came from Indiana to get it. Now i have money to drop my 454 block at the machine shop, gotta get her cleaned up and punched 30 over. i have the crank and rods and pistons and cam and all that stuff that dad gave me with a trade for the 350 that i had in the SS. soon i will have a 73 SS 454 instead of a 350. im super excited about it. and tell me please. will it be hard to put a bigblock in that car, i know some came with 454's but i really hope i wont have any clearance issues.

Re: sold it
No Problems at all. The Radiator shroud can be cut down to fit and I think part of the motor mounts have to be changed. Thats All I ca think of off the top of my head. JB

Re: sold it
Motor fits right in, you need the bracketry for the 454, but the AC lines and compressor will fit right up along with the PS pump and lines. I recommend Hooker comp headers for a mild to wild 454 they fit great. minor trimming needed on the clam shell (engine mount)
What are you planning on the radiator fan? also if using the stock hood, youll need a low intake and a drop base filter, these cars have crappy hood room.
