Why I don't post at Bangshift anymore
A year has passed since this thread was locked down but I thought you'd be interested in some of what happened to me at BS.com after I trusted a member (who is still) in good standing to work on a Furd van for me. I bought him a new digital camera as well so he could take pictures for me during the build. In the end, he did a crappy bondo job on part of my van for which he charged me $10,000 labor, charged me a $1000 ransom to get my van back, stole some of my parts I'd bought with my money, and basically took me for $15 grand which I'll probably never see again. While he was "building" my van (very little work was done on the van itself), he miraculously found time and money to build several of his own projects as well as fund his and his brother's racing team, Red Hot Racing.
Enjoy!

Anthony, can you get satisfaction from a thief? Can you get blood from a turnip?
77mali, I haven't initiated any kind of legal action against him because I live in Poland and it's not that convenient for me to do so. If I were in the US, I don't believe this would have happened at all and you can believe I would have been able to deal with the problem more effectively.
Biomedtech, your services might come in handy...LOL. Of course, I'm joking because as a Christian, I believe in forgiveness and would never consider breaking the law. Of course, I know that Judgement Day is coming for that bitch!! By the way, my father was career Army and a Nuclear Medicine specialist, serving many times at Walter Reed and Landstuhl Hospital in Germany. He still volunteers at Landstuhl on a regular basis. So it's interesting that we have much in common.
JB, yes, evil runs rampant on this earth and as I alluded to earlier, when the storm comes down, that dude is gonna be toast. Especially since he preys on Christians while posing as a man of God (he's a licensed minister). He will get his due.
Anthony, I paid the ransom of $1000 to get the van out of his clutches a year ago and another $700 to transport it to Toms River, NJ where Joe is working on it still. It will be repainted the factory colors. Seth stole my new Holly 770 Street Avenger carb and some other parts I paid for, so that was another low blow. I've been hurt pretty bad financially due to being out of work for a year and am just trying to get it painted and finished. The engine and tranny have been assembled and installed, and I sent most of the lower body panels from the California parts van, so hopefully there won't be too much more to finish this project. Thanks for the wishes!
