I guarantee if this had the the shifter required for this as well it would go over 750 and if he would have included the trans bad or not it would see 1000

True! But I'm not a console guy myself, just a shifter boot straight from the floor is the way it should be.

yup thats why I am trying to get the 5 speed set up out of an olds they just run shifter boot 76, 77 cutlass is the only one I seen like that........... I am thinking score that set up as well it should interchange for the chevelle as well ............

They made 4 speed where the shifter boot was on the floor with no console for the Chevelles. I've got a picture somewhere of one with a 454 and 4 speed as the only options, it was sold from Foyt (AJ Foyt) Chevrolet though.

that is the EXACT same set up as the later Cutlass 5 speed maybe a test mule for it ?? so know we know what took for RIGHT??

I have the floor console and shifter....I just don't have the SS end knob...anyone know where I can land one?

OPGI sells shifter knobs, but I think any would work. Personally, I would either go with the four speed knob or a brushed aluminum one.
