73-77 Big Block with A/C Question
First I would like to say,
Hello and thank you for letting me join this forum.
I was wondering if anyone here had some pics of a 73-77 Chevelle with a 454 and A/C.
Or maybe a pic of the shop manual with the bracket install procedure.
I have the brackets in a box and I am not fimilar with the Big Block power steering & A-6 compressor setup.
Thanks

Re: 73-77 Big Block with A/C Question
I am try to piece together the power steering and AC brackets.
I know the large plate goes on front of the block after that I'm clueless
I'm not sure which exhaust port the one bracket goes over since I can't get the bolt holes to line up.
and I know one bracket goes in front of the compressor and one in the back but not sure which is which since I dont have the compressor yet.
Thanks for your help!

Re: 73-77 Big Block with A/C Question
AHHHHHH finally
Well sort of
I was so convinced that the one bracket bolted to the exhaust manifold.
I completely overlooked the 2 bolt holes on the head above it, that the small AC bracket bolts too!
I have to modify the bracket since I am using headers but at least I have a better idea of placement now.
Thanks !!!!!!!

Re: 73-77 Big Block with A/C Question
Ok one more annoying question.
Your power steering belt. Can you read the part number on it?
All the ones i am seeing are listed as steering, fan, crank.
I only have a 2 grove pulley on my water pump.
I see that you have the belt that goes from crank to pump and that what I need, but cannot find.

i cant see a # but go to a parts store and see what they have listed for a 73 MC with a 454 with NO a/c.
