i think it was someone on this site that showed me a graph showing the 14" round air filters ratings as of horsepower to filter height like 300hp or less is 3" 150hp or less is 2" and 350 or more is 4" and so on..if it was can you show the link agian? might not have been HP but cibic inches?? just rememebr that graph being posted on the chat one day.

stick with a VA 74 or equivilant. Thats 3 inches high and 14 in diameter.
I dont think and inch one way or the other is going to matter.

naw that looks like crap, imo. im just going to order a 3" from Spectre they have blue and stainless ones that will match my motor perfectly

a 14X3 flows plenty of air for whatever engine you are going to have on the street, but a 14X4 looks better with a drop base air cleaner.
the Wix part number for the 14X4 element is 42096.
if you want to get the really racy look, you can get 14X4 filter with a prefilter wrap on it- Wix part number 46096.

there are a few choices if you want a K&N filter element for some reason. it won't let me link directly to the search results, so just input the outside diameter as 14", and the height as 4".

I have this filter for sale if you're interested. It's got 400 miles on it. Barely dirty on about 5 ribs.

I honestly don't know. I'm sure the performance isn't worth the money, but it's got the "cool" factor going for it. Just doesn't fit real well with the blower... Surprised

no thanks, im getting the elite seies air cleaner to match my valve covers then a 3" tall filter from spectre thats died blue
