Tie Rod Question Empty Tie Rod Question

Post by REVINKEVIN / Mr. 600+HP Sun Aug 12, 2018 10:28 pm

Hey. I am searching the Moog web site for inner and outer tie rods. They only list one part number. The Problem Solver ES2020RLT. I looked on Rock Auto and other brands have a different part number but Moog only show this one and it is listed as an inner. What am I missing??? Thanks.

BTW, 1976 Chevrolet Laguna S3

Yeah I struggled with the same thing, I used Inner ES2020RLT and Outer ES427R, also ES2004S sleeves. They all matched up perfect to stock. This was on a 75 but I'm pretty sure 76 is the same for steering components.

I talked with Moog direct today and they don't show one that fits. I bought the 427R like you got. I am going to work on this a little tonight and check the fit. Thanks again.

Yeah MOOG's website is strange, they have a lot of parts listed for 73-77 El Caminos but not Malibus, etc, or sometimes listed for Chevelle but not Malibu. I spent way too much time figuring out what fits and finally ran across info on some other website. When I built the parts I matched them up side by side with the stock stuff and it was exactly the same. No problems with alignment or driving. The hardest part was I had one inner tie rod was a bitch to get out of the center link. It's always that one bolt that takes forever it seems... Good luck!
