sight on ebay claims they have a good dash cap for a 1974 Monte Carlo. Anybody got experience in replacing the soft dash or putting a hard cap on it? "hawkeye"

I am going thru this right now, I had a dash cap that came with the new SE, I ended up finding a dash that had a red cap already on it, so sold my spare one.
So my plans are to blend it on the side more since the cap doesn't come to the ends on the original dash, picks to show reference and yes its the one I have1974 monte carlo dash cap 13164210
