frame braces etc...
I finally installed the rear frame braces in my '75 Elco. I wouldn't bother if I had a small block Chevy in it.
And also been tweaking my tail pipes, to fit better.
My system is all 2 1/2 inch stainless, including an H pipe, and Borla mufflers, and when I looked for tail pipes, they were not around for the G3 Elcos (or Malibus either). No big surprise there. So I bought a pair for a '72. Maybe later on, some stainless G3 tail pipes will be available.
They don't fit right, naturally, so I had to do some surgery, and had a friend TIG weld the pieces together. Much of it has band clamps, which turned out to be a good idea when I had to remove the trans for a leaky seal on the pump.
Tires are next...I have new stock type rally wheels, made by Wheel Vintiques. I'm not going with wide tires like my Malibu has, since this is "supposed" to be a daily driver. Wide tires suck in snow, and I may even find a pair of snow tires for winter.....
That's not to say that I'm gonna drive in really bad weather. That's what my pickups and the 4X4 Jeep are for...

Re: frame braces etc...
Did the frame braces fit w/o any issues? I had to get a little creative with mine.

Yeah, they fit without any problems, except for moving the right-side exhaust hanger, which needed to be moved anyway, to get the pipe routed better.

What brand rear frame braces are you running? My DickMillers fit without any mods.
