73 SS: should side markers blink?
As I work thru electrical issues, even when I get both front and rear and dash lights to work properly with left and right turn signals, my front side markers blink in-sync with the respective front bumper turn signal light when the turn signals are on. If I have running lamps/headlights on, the front side marker light blinks opposite the blink of it's respective front bumper turn signal light.
Are the front side marker lights supposed to do this on a 1973 Chevelle (SS)? Or do I have more electrical malfunctions going on?

my "donor"( 74 chevelle) does blinks like yours, my cruck(77 elcamino) comes blinking this way too, so i rewire it to blink like this with the new wiring.

Yes, they should blink. Take a look at this thread: http://www.g3gm.com/t8787-electrical-help-needed
I went through how the circuit works somewhere in there and it would take too long to retype.
