Walker for factory correct dual exh? 73 ss
I did a search on here and saw that Walker is recommended source for factory correct dual exhaust and that I might be able to get it at NAPA. Is this still the concensus? I am converting my new 73 ss project back to stock exhaust (it has headers and cherry bombs strapped to the frame via metal banding but hey at least they didn't pop holes is the good floors )
I already sourced correct 350 manifolds for my car. I'm after factory correct vs. the all out performance with x pipes and all that, I know companies like Pypes which is local to me make nice systems for all out power but I'd rather go stock.
Any Walker testifiers out there? Thanks.

My '75 had a Cherry Bomb wired to the frame as well...plus, the added disadvantage of single exhaust w/cat. I replaced that with dual exhaust systen and Dynomax (Div. of Walker) Super Turbos #17747. My understanding is the Walker #18280 was stock back then. From what I remember back in the day, those stock mufflers were pretty quiet. I just wanted something with more "growl" and am pleased with them so far...not too loud.

Darn it I just called my local NAPA and he told me that just this year they no longer have the head pipes and tailpipes, just the mufflers. The search continues...

That's odd. They told me that two yrs ago when I first started looking into this. Last I looked, you could still buy the tailpipes from Advanced Auto Online. I bought my head pipes from a guy in Ohio who bends them per the old Program Bend Cards that muffler shops used back in the day. I even have a copy of it if you can find someone locally who is willing to do it. If not, the guy's company name is Classic Car Exhaust Systems and goes by Sat1966 on e-Bay. You can buy from him direct without going thru e-Bay. The bolted up perfectly.

I see that Summit has the head-pipes, in stainless, that bolt to the stock manifolds...
