Re: Introducing myself
No one makes a 325/50/15 street tire, try Nitto, or Goodyear.

Re: Introducing myself
BFG Drag radial is the ONLY thing I had found Tom and then the closest was Nitto's after that

Re: Introducing myself
Absolutely beautiful Limey.
Just looks mean.
im always torn between the pro touring look and the tilted drag look. i love both. but those tires are badass.
does she ever look different stripped down, no vinyl, no loovers, and in my case no sunroof.
i wish i had a garage, id be in there all winter ripping her apart and sanding....... my women would probably file a missing persons. lol

Re: Introducing myself
My bad Limey.
yeah I hear all these people who are like I used to own ..... and they list 20 different cars, ive wanted mine since I was 11, I really don't want to drive anything else. well...... nothing im able to afford lol. the 69 charger and 70 cuda will always be on my faves list.
see I love these rims and they look awesome, but my first love are deep dish rims for a wide tire.
is that side pipe exhaust? I was considering that at one point.

Mine love are also, But I only got rid of the ones I did to lead me to this car which is 1 of 50 cars took me about 14 years to secure one, Almost a set of them but 2 hours into drive he cancelled the sale. Â I have had a few mishaps with mine. Â My Blue 1974 Malibu was getting winched onto a trailer and got halfway up and the front frame rails folded in from rust, when he lifted the car onto the trailer to junk it after stripping it the quarters fell off the car from all the bondo used in it.
Got another Laguna lost one that to a barn Collapse tunnel rammed beast almost was complete arrrggggg, then the Cutlass I got it was really really clean, Then Sold that one to Get a Lime Green 76 Malibu out of Texas that was supposed to be my Last one, As I promised my fiancé lol but then our cars Transmission went out and had to Swap it for a Tahoe, I thought that was the End of my G3's.
Then the Previous owner of my current car 1977 Chevelle SE called me out of nowhere and talked with him for about 40 minutes before he even offered me the car and the rest is well what they say is History. Have had it for almost 3 years or so.

Re: Introducing myself
That's one hell of a collection.
I hope to have more then one hot rod some day.
I love the green Malibu
but yeah the Malibu's and laguna's were almost identical. luckily because of the low production numbers.
the guy that sold me mine apartently refused to sell it to people for years, but after I talked to him he was happy it was an enthusiast. every car show I go to I get asked " how the hell did you get ray to sell his laugna to you"
poor guy loved the car so much he was crying. but I bring her back every summer to show him the progress.

I figure if he was good enough to sell me his baby/my dream car then the least I can do is go back once in awhile and let him take her for a spin. im young but not young enough not to have some respect for fellow gearheads.

Well not really a collection I only have one of them LOL But yea was lucky enough to own them, and very cool you take it back to him like that..... The Pervious owner of mine was original owner to the car and when it was delivered here he washed his hands of it. And didn't want to be contacted but I have a strange feeling he does still follow a little bit.....

Re: Introducing myself
well in the case of an original owner you've had the car ( in my guys ) for 38 years. it becomes a piece of you.
hense why there is usually a even small bond from owner to owner.
part of you went into taking care of something for so long.
Most people I know see a tool/instrument. something to serve a purpose till it can't then you discard it.
and this infuriates me.
( side note Limey, I did send you a pm about the wiring harness guy but I don't know if it went through or not , it keeps saying my sent box and out box are empty, but I tried twice)

That's awesome that you make the effort to show him the progress. Bet he appreciates that even more than you know!
