Me either so you will like what is coming LOL
Cool
So after the 6.0 install I lost some rake to the car as font end is lighter and now sits up about 1&1/2 inches. I need new rear tires this spring and I currently have 275/60/R15 on rear 225/70/R15 front. I want to go taller and OR wider is not a problem for rears to get back up a little more but do not want to go any smaller or narrower. What a recommendation for a white letter tire. Currently running BF Goodrich and don't like them they have a lot of road noise. I like the cooper brand I had on my 56 better.

Choices I know of are, bf Goodrich's, cooper cobra's, mastercraft avenger g/t's, hankook ventus, or primewell's.

Re: Wallys Tire choice
I've got the Coopers. I've only put a few hundred miles on 'em so far but they were a good price and one of the very few choices available in 15.

Let me know how those work out for you if you put them on. I'm in no hurry here to do any thing yet just checking out options. I see that copper Cobra Radial G/T has P255/70R15 that said diameter is 28.94 and the 275/60R15 I currently run says Diameter is 28.07. I have found two charts that counter-edit each other as to witch one is tallest tire.

Re: Wallys Tire choice
Wally a 255 70 is really tall on a 7 inch rim (dont know what size rim you have) it will be taller than a 275 60 at least.

I'm running 8" (I don't remember if I went with the 10" wide the car is not here to check on for rears but 8" for sure wide) Keystone Klassic wheels

Re: Wallys Tire choice
This are my tires. Â 295/50/15, & 215/70/15 Avenger G/t's. They are both the same side wall height, and per manufacturer spec's will work with my 15/7 & 15/8.5 aluminum slot mags.

Re: Wallys Tire choice
I'm currently running 225/70R15 on front and 275/60R15 on rear. It looks good but after installing the LS engine setup it sits higher in front about 1&1/2"s now. Also makes fueling slower as it backs up the fill pipe when fueling. I like my Keystone rims and was hoping they made a taller tire as wide as I have now in white lettering but it maybe a no go. I'm so glad I reused my stock springs instead of going to new ones last fall when I put all new bushings in front end as I was looking at new springs at one point. I'm curious to see if it settled at all over winter. Hope to get it out of storage in a week or two. Then I'll shoot a photo for you to see the stance.
thanks for the help guys

Re: Wallys Tire choice
Just found this in my favorites. Its a tire charts with sizes, diameters and widths. And its broken down into diameters. So if your interested in 18" wheels you can easily see what size to go with to upsize or downsize.
Thought it might be useful for anyone considering tire choices. Might be worth a "sticky".

Re: Wallys Tire choice
I like this one, it lets you compare two tires.
http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html
Just doesn't let you pick sizes that don't exist.

Re: Wallys Tire choice
I'm kinda late to the party here but I have had BFG's, Hankooks, Pirelli, Firestone and Michelin over the years.
I've got to say IMHO, Pirelli's are the best tires I've ever had. Hankook & Michelin would be my next choices.
