Re: Another new guy here
This is what it was like when I got it...this was made by the guy I got it from. Was off the road since 1993. Has a built up 1972 caprice small block 400. I already did some things to it since this video and drove it probably 2000 miles this past summer. Ill take some pictures of stuff as I do it once I get on it. Take care everybody.

Re: Another new guy here
Congrats Mattie, looks like you have a great car there. If I was you, first thing I would do is check to see if there is any rust under that vinyl top. JB

Re: Another new guy here
Oh yeah it's rusty under the top..I think Landaus came from the factory that way..lol. It's just something to fix up better mechanically and drive..I do appreciate the effort some guys put into fixing up these cars...but I think this one is just a driver.

I like the dual antennas. My '74 had the same white splash guards on it when I got it.

Mattie, your car looks to me like it's in great shape. The top CAN be repaired by someone who knows what they are doing. JB

Re: Another new guy here
It has a perfectly clean frame and solid floors..just one little hole starting in the trunk by the bumper...so who knows might get into fixing the roof someday. The paint on the car is too good for me to want to sand around the trim but maybe ill give it a go someday. First thing is getting that 4.11 rearend out of there and putting in the 3.08 posi I have here so I can drive it to my girlfriends house for less than 20 bucks.

Re: Another new guy here
A wise decision, I wish I had a 3.08 in mine instead of a 3.47. I had planned on putting in a 700 trans, but got stuck with a 400 because of finances. JB

Here is a post on how to post photos. It takes a few tries to get it down.
