Re: Hydro King's suspension upgrades
Great pics, Hydro King! I do not like the way my frame twists in the middle, what I would like to have is some kind of an X brace welded into my frame with a way to have a driveshaft loop fastened to it to take out that twist. Twisting can NOT be good for the frame or the body. JB

Can you give us a list of the mods, the parts and suppliers, etc? Thanks.

Re: Hydro King's suspension upgrades
Wow!!! Truly impressive, Hydro King! Very well thought out and impeccably executed. I'd like to do something similar only retaining OEM type coil springing rather than coil-over shocks though. Can you give us a rundown of parts and mods you've made to your chassis? Including welding and any beefing up or relocating of suspension mounting points? Also, any recommendations regarding handling and stopping upgrades?
As JB mentioned, I would like to stiffen my chassis against twisting and flexing as well. Any thoughts on how best to do that without making it hard to drop the tranny or install a 3" dual exhaust system? I like the beefy trans crossmember and driveshaft loop. Did that stiffen things up a bit?......
Are you building your own headers, or have you found some that are a good fit for this chassis? My stroker small block will need 1-7/8" primaries and 3" collectors.
Many thanks,
Harry

Re: Hydro King's suspension upgrades
Last I heard was a relative got it and was going to finish it, but I don't know how true that is. It probably went to the crusher or worse yet made into one of those cars that like to jump rope like I did when I was a kid. JB

Re: Hydro King's suspension upgrades
Maybe do a "Hydro" sticky on the site as tribute w/ his posts. I know he had his car in Hot Rod and from just what is in this post the guy certainly new what he wanted and how to get it done.
