Re: ? On core support
Don't believe so because of how headlights are mounted

Re: ? On core support
Interesting question. My first thought would be yes. Reason being the fenders fit from all years and the rad support bolts to the fenders and two bolts onto the frame. Then the header panel bolts to the fenders and only has two supports bolting to the support right where the headlight extension meets the center section of the header panel.
So basically, the three part header panel only touches the support with a bracket on each side. The headlights mount in the header panel, so I dont think that would matter. I say it will fit.

Re: ? On core support
Are you sure? When I replaced mine it came from Chicago muscle cars and had "73chevelle" written on it. It bolted in my '74 with no problems or modifications.alleyball4 wrote:once again, the 73 core support is different.

Re: ? On core support
When I bought it years ago I paid $250.00. At the time they said they had a Nos one for $500.00. This was in the late '90's.

Re: ? On core support
If I remember right, the 74-77 core support has an oval cut-out on the upper left hand side, and the 73 doesn't have the cut-out but a threaded hole.

Re: ? On core support
Regarding the core supports, does anyone know where to find the mount bushings for these? I have to replace the core support in mine and the bushings are shot. And I also agree about the 74-77 having the oval hole cut out. I have looked at several from 74-77 and they all look the same. The junkyard I was at didn't have any 73's so I can't answer that.

I got mine from the parts place. They sell them with or without the hardware.

Re: ? On core support
I managed to get a part number off of mine and bought them from the dealership parts counter. however, that was probably 15 years ago. I also scored the second to last (according to the dealership) blower motor resistor that gm had left.

Re: ? On core support
Speaking solely for Cutlass's. The 76-77 is 76-77 only. 73-75 are the same with only a minor change with dual hood popper springs in 73. I do not believe that any of these would interchange with any other a-body altho I've heard the 76-77 would interchange with a Regal. That I cannot guarentee.
