I will be replacing my carpet soon, (looking for black, I have swivel buckets & console) can anyone suggest a vendor that they have had good luck with? Question

I've had the best luck in terms of fit and quality with Auto Custom Carpets (ACC). They are made in USA Clapp

(Georgia and Alabama if I remember right). I'm sure different vendors carry them but I've purchased from them direct.

My Carpet from NPD for my '75 was $156 bucks, and It's nice quality.
Yours was loop style originally, but carpet from '73 to '77 will fit if you want to go to cut pile type.

I haven't bought it yet but I had samples sent for when I do mine. Have to say I like the look of the cut pile much better than the 80/20 loop. I found them on "Stock Interiors" website. I believe they are either made by ACC or they both buy from the same manufacturer as they use the same color codes. They're $125 to $135 for plush cut pile & + $65 for ultra plush.

I'm going with a 2 piece- (74/75) even though 77 was 1 pc. I figure it will make my life a little easier to install it & it's available in the color I want.

Get some samples no matter who you end up buying from. Good luck.

Looks like you guys have given me a couple of good carpets to look at. Thanks! are 73's carpet different than 74-77?

Pila is correct 73 is loop style- yet another 1 year only 73 thing.

I think I'm just going with the carpet, a "Dynamat" type product & maybe some padding for in between the two. I really haven't researched the mass backing but I think it'll make it very heavy.

I'm forgoing carpet,doorpanels,headliner rear dash, rear seat, any outside trim, and most likely fabricating a flat aluminum dash across a dash spreader on the cage.

I might tek screw a floor mat to my side.

My carpet came from NPD like I said, and it has the backing glued to the bottom, and is a quite thick jute material like everyone uses. And it's a two piece type, which I like.
The extra-plush would be nice, but for a daily driver I didn't bother.
