Just saw it cross the block, didn't sell & maxed out around 17k
This special purpose car might just be the rarest FACTORY built G3 ever built @ 1 of 9....this is the only one know to survive & has documented NASCAR ownership.

$11,500 High bid. Looks like a nice car too but let's face it- these cars are still very under-appreciated & to sell @ an auction like this you'll prob never break even. A real shame.

Re: mecum auction chevelle and grand am
I would have loved to have gotten my mitts on this 79 Olds. Only sold for $5,250!
Not a G3 but I had an 1984 four door. LOVED that car

I love the Delta 88! THey are all nice ,the Chevelle is really tasteful, its the wrong time of year to sell with Christmas around the corner, damn, I want that Delta now, is that a Holiday? SOme had buckets and a console in 78 since they downsized the Cutlass they tried to sell customers the Holiday 88,sort of a sport model. Heres my Olds 98 - this is after my friend had it painted and a new top put on obviously after I sold it to him

Re: mecum auction chevelle and grand am
I think the Mecum one was a Royale. That's a nice 98 you had.
I got my 84 in 1991 just after my daughter was born. I remember diving with her and holding her hand until she fell asleep when she was a wee-one (yes she was in a car seat up front) but I was never worried driving the Delta.

My neighbor lady had a 84 Olds 2 door big body that was like it came from the factory. She kept it spotless and was low milage. She got alzheimers and went into a nursing home and her granddaughter's live in started driving it drunk and now is creased up on both sides and one end of the back bumper sticks straight out to the side. I KNEW this would happen. JB

Terrible! I wish you could still buy those big Olds new. Great cars and part of what killed the name when they went away.

Re: mecum auction chevelle and grand am
I absolutely love this car! My neighbor had one in the same colors, but with honeycomb wheels, at the same time I had my Midnite Green 73 Laguna! It looks very staight and original, BUT... the Crossfire Mahogony dash applique is missing and the inside portion of the gauge bezels that would be black have been painted with model paint silver like my old dash was. The cigar lighter is also gone. Might be nitpicky, but for $17,000 and NO SALE, I would expect near perfection. [url=[url=https://servimg.com/view/17914608/167][/url
