I know there are some members here with wagons. I have two 73 Vista Cruisers. One is a project and the second one is my parts car slash beater. I'll post a pic soon. Anyway, what do you have ? 73-77 GM's only please. Unless it's really kickass.

Here's three:

http://www.g3gm.com/t3045-75-chevelle-station-wagon-project?highlight=wagon
http://www.g3gm.com/t4468-holley-1974-chevelle-wagon?highlight=wagon

If you get bored, dig through the introductions pages. I know there was at least one Buick, one Vista Cruiser, & I want to say a couple of Chevy wagons.

Sadly, the 76 or 77 Vista Cruiser my brother has will be in the junkyard soon. Tranny went bad again and he can't sell it because of a huge lien on it so he's just scrapping it. What a waste!

That is a shame. Is he interested in pulling any parts if someone here can use them?

I would NOT recommend doing business with him. If you send him any money, that's the last you will hear from him! Believe me, I thought about how to work it out, and there's just no way. He is WAY irresponsible.

Thats a damn shame. Are you willing to get involved and help a member out with the purchase and shipping of some parts ? Hell, I'de buy the whole car if I had a way of getting it back here. He could report it stolen for all I care. Can you at least post some pics of it ?

There was a guy on the net several years ago that was building his wagon with a Monte Carlo front end. It used to show up when I Googled 73 Vista Cruiser but it has'nt shown up in a long time. Anyone know of or seen this ? It was pretty wild looking.

The 454 is a Chevy engine and the 455 is a differant Buick engine with Oldsmobile having another differant 455. In just a few more years GM would put Chevy engines (the Chevy small block) in Buicks or Oldsmobiles. JB

Cool wagon. Propane conversion. Thats wild. I'de love to have that posi rear end for my Vista Cruiser. BTW, thats a 8.75 rear and not a 8.5. You can't get bigger gears for the 8.75. Maybe you can find a Buick 455 to put in it. Whats those wheels and tires in the back, in that one pic ?

Any more wagons out there ? Keep em coming.

hi w451973
whats the difference between 8.75 and a 8.5 rear end?
it would be nice to have 455 in my wagon but here they are not cheap here. and i already have chevy 350 with a th700r4.
and the wheels i think came of a pontiac, rally wheels. they are stock in the front 6j and 10j for the rear i search for a pic.

Yes, you are correct. The 8.75 is darn near impossible to find gears for. From my understanding, and I could be wrong, they also came in some El Caminos and Pontiac A bodies. As well as the big cars. 8.5's are easier to get parts for but since your wagon already has the 3:08 posi I'de keep it.
