Tranny Crossmember Intergchange
Anyone know if an X-body (73-77 Nova, Ventura, Apollo, etc) dual exhaust cross member fits in our A bodies? Does anyone have measurements already taken on one from a Chevelle or an M/C?
Thanks
Thanks

I dont think that is going to work. You might just get the measurements from and aftermarket one since it would probably be the same as stock . An X car seems much narrower than an a/g body though.

The aftermarket ones do look completely different. Thanks Ant!

52 1/2" o.a.l. on the Monte/Chevelle dual humps. About 51 1/4" ctr-to-ctr on the mtg holes. As you may know, the El Caminos are shorter. Have no idea on the Novas, Apollos, Venturas.

this one is from a Buick and is about 15 pounds lighter than the Chevelle one, I think it was from 74 Century

Not only that, but different from Pontiacs and Oldsmobiles, too. Never looked under a Buick...but, plan on it next time out.
