Pictures of my garage/shop.
I have been asked before to show some pictures of my garage/shop. So here they are. It's 27'x30'. Enjoy!
The outside:
Open the door, and what do you see.......
I made this bench out of the old kitchen form the house:
This bench(the vise too) came with the garage:
These shelving units also came with the garage. But i moved them to where they are now. They were originally where I have the Monte Carlo parked:
My dad got this woodburning stove from my step-grandpa a few weeks ago. Chimney isn't up yet...hopefully soon:
Check out the rear of the Plymouth. I finally got a rear bumper bar that I have been looking for forever:

Re: Pictures of my garage/shop.
It's next door to my house. The house went into foreclosure, and my dad bought it, we own it. My cousin's and uncle are living in the house now, paying rent.
It's cool having my family and cars next door to me.

KYLE first welcome back buddy
second that is kewl you got a place that is so close to home to work on your cars / store them at same time.
Hopefully in next few days my garage will be that clean again, anything not related to my build for the cutlass is going downstairs

Re: Pictures of my garage/shop.
Thanks, Anthony.
I love that my cars will be so close. In previous years, I stored my Monte Carlo in my aunts garage. She's 9 miles away from me. Not all that far, but still a PITA when I wanted to start it up every week. And last winter, the Plymouth was still at my grandpa's condo, about an hour and a half drive away form my place. So, another PITA to start it. I plan on doing some work on them this winter. Hoping that stove will heat the place up okay.

Nice.
I don't know how insurance or fire regulations are in your area, but if you were in CT I would reccamend that you have the woodstove inspected my the local firemarshal. In CT if you have a house/garage fire and you never had it inspected you might not be covered.

Thanks.
I absolutely cannot stand a dirty/cluttered garage. That's where I spend most of my time, and I want to be able to move around. Also, I don't want my babies in a dirty home lol.

Re: Pictures of my garage/shop.
Nice. Ever think about insulating it and finishing the drywall? Sure would help you keep it heated in the winter.

Thanks Bryan.
Yes, we are thinking of fully insulating and finishing the walls in the future. Probably with OSB/particle board, instead of drywall.

Re: Pictures of my garage/shop.
We finally got the wood burning stove completed last weekend, and gave her a test fire. Works perfectly. It has a thermostat on it, to kick the blower on when it gets hot enough. The blower kick out a lot of heat. This winter will be a trial-and-error, to see how it works without ducting. The blower blows the heat out of the small port on the right of the top of the stove. We are going to leave that for now. If extra ducts and registers are needed, they will be added. Same goes for insulation on all of the walls. I have the Monte in front of the stove now. Everything is prepared for winter. Not done driving them yet, but just prepared for when I am.

Re: Pictures of my garage/shop.
One time I was working on a car in a concrete block garage with no heat and a temp around 45 or 50 degrees. I was chilled to the bone , that concrete floor was COLD. It turns out that I came down with the Flu, yes the real Flu, and was in bed for a week. I was miserable. JB

Re: Pictures of my garage/shop.
I know your dad set it up correctly, But did he check with your homeowners insurance to see if they covered the garage with a wood stove in it, I know ours wouldn't, But I got lucky and found a 75,000 btu shop heater set up for propane for 75 bucks. Feel free to stop by here and talk about your garage and get some tips. Lotta good folks.

Re: Pictures of my garage/shop.
We have a propane one. I can't use it, it gives me an excruciating migraine because of the fumes. Wood stove was the only way to go so I can work.

Re: Pictures of my garage/shop.
If you have a vented propane stove that is causing you to have headaches something is wrong with it, heat exhanger is bad.
