I was debiting finding a '73 nose for my '74 chevelle but keeping the '74 bumper. Namely becuse I like the '73 nose more. Of couse theres the mater of wight savings. So, let me hear what you think?

They look good, but I had no idea that there was a big weight difference between the two years' front ends.

The chrome grill by itself for the 74 is more than 10 lbs.

Keep the 74 front end, go to a 76-77 base grille since they're plastic & weigh less. Gut your front bumper if you really want to knock down some weight.

Thought about putting the 74 bumper on our 73 but never did. I think the 74 bumpers looks less like a truck bumper thats on the 73

LoL, I wanted to keep my 76 bumper because it was smaller, but I also needed all of the hardware from the 73 to do the tuck. Time frames didn't permit me to keep my bumper so I got the big truck bumper now.
