Re: 73 laguna nose
Well, you do know the bigger the cowl hood, the more horsepower it adds to your car. Lmao. Some people...lol.

Or, you could roll a stock hood and hide a blower and really surprise the hell out of people!

Re: 73 laguna nose
This is true. I'm assuming it weighs a lot less than a roots blower also? Don't know if it has the same intimidation factor when you pop the hood though.

Re: 73 laguna nose
Have you ever noticed that every 41 Wills you see has a 6-71 blower on it? I saw one at a car show recently without a blower on it and thought I was going to faint. JB

Re: 73 laguna nose
Not sure on the weight comparison, but would imagine it is a lot less. One carb instead of two, aluminum bracket instead of giant blower... I know my entire kit was about 100lbs. That included the intercooler, universal tubing (didn't use much of it), all brackets (including giant serpentine bracket), and the packaging.
Maybe the uninformed aren't as intimidated, but anyone who knows what they're looking at should be. An intercooled D1SC will easily push a good small block close to the 900hp range.
Not to mention the roots style blowers aren't as "streetable" as the centrifugal superchargers.

haha thats a running joke we have in the automotive program at school when we make fun of the tuner/ricer kids...we'll get kids who try to argue that their civic can take my el camino because they have a k&n filter, and the spoiler makes their car more aerodynamic, and they saved a bunch of weight by taking their hub caps off, etc.
needless to say they get teased so bad they usually dont stay in the program long.

Re: 73 laguna nose
Laguna nose was finally mounted on the elco today..im VERY happy with the results. A word of advice for those considering: The nose does NOT mount perfectly with the body panels no matter how much adjusting you do its slightly off (will show you in pics i post tomorrow)
