Finally! Proof that it exists!
Alright then! After much deliberation and goofing off, I FINALLY figured out how to upload photos! For now, all I have is a cell phone pic or two, but more will come eventually!
Here's the specs in case you missed them: It's a 74 Chevelle with about 25,000 miles on it. It's been repainted, but most of the trim pieces are original. It's metallic burgundy with a black vinyl top. It has the original 2 barrel 350 with a TH350 behind it. It runs really well, but it's a little slow for now. I'm putting a rebuilt 355 and a 700R4 in it whenever I get the chance. The only real modifications so far are an HEI upgrade and a set of shocks and swaybars. I have a set of lowering springs for it that are going on eventually as well.

Re: Finally! Proof that it exists!
Lol well I think if anything....*ahem* bad happens to this, it's gonna get a serious makeover with some fiber glass body panels. However! I am always on the prowl for some interior parts! Right now I'm hunting for the passenger side door panel for the base model Chevelles that's black and has the wood grain insert and such. Mine's kinda torn up and held together with screws. Just that one side would be perfect but if anyone has both I'd be happy to take them as a pair!
Oh, any idea it anyone has the quarter window trim in stainless? They all but disappeared when I didn't need them...

Re: Finally! Proof that it exists!
Understood. Thanks, but right now I don't really have any space (or money) to use for anymore body parts. Since this thing is fairly complete I'm just searching for the parts that it absolutely needs.

It does exist!
Looks clean from the pics. That metallic burgundy paint & black vinyl top really go good together. Most vinyl top G3s I've seen don't look so nice (Landau top ).

Looks alot like my first car- 74 Classic- but better!
Dig the color combo with the black vinyl- "Muscular with Manners"
Are those rallys 15x7? What tires do you have on' em?
Been banging my head on tire sizes.

Re: Finally! Proof that it exists!
Just kicking around some thoughts right now. Anyone have any comments on how this would look with a set of 17 or 18 inch American Racing Salt Flats? They would be the ones with a polished lip/ cast center http://www.americanracing.com/browse_vintage.asp
The only real down side is the price at this point. Funny how little car projects always turn into something colossal...

Re: Finally! Proof that it exists!
I finally got around to having some time to clean up my car after the last couple weekends of projects. So far this summer I've installed a set of Global West lowering springs all away around the car. They work nicely and surprised me with how well they make the car ride.

Re: Finally! Proof that it exists!
Got 'em posted! Good thing too, since I just got very tired of my car for the next week or so...I was driving it home and the front driver's side shock decided to fall out of the bottom shock mount. It's still there, just chewed up now.

Re: Finally! Proof that it exists!
Thanks for the compliment. As for the shock...meh, I like to think of it as a lesson in checking my work more than twice and doing it a little more frequently.Limey wrote:well Indy she looks real nice brother a few really good shots there, sorry to hear about the shock thing though that kinda sucks

Re: Finally! Proof that it exists!
