PS Bracket Diagrams or Photos
I am putting my PS pump and brackets back together and need some help. I have it mostly figured it out how it goes together, but I have small spacer that I can't remember where it goes. I took some pics but apparently not enough.
Does anyone have a factory diagram or some pics of how these brackets are assembled? Does anyone remember as small spacer?

the parts manual has a parts breakout of the ps pump mount
I'm far from the most knowledgeable here. I only see one spacer (assume you don't mean washers) which was used with the mounting bracket, the one with the long thin curved space. Hope that helps. If not maybe someone else will chime in.

I only have one spacer, so that is probably correct. Can you snap a pic by chance of where it goes?

my image provider doesn't work here
Looking at the parts manual, if you are standing in front of the car the spacer goes behind the left hand hex bolt hole on the bottom of the bracket. A washer goes in front and the 3/8 inch hex bolt pins both.

glad you got it fixed
Just to recap for others:
In the Chevy Parts Illustration Manual 1976-81 p. 6-47 (A,B,F,X 8 Cyl Engine Power Steering Pump Mounting). There is an undocumented spacer that fits behind Bracket 21 aka steering pump pivot because of the longer bolt as 76 Malibu noted. The only documented spacer fits behind Bracket 18 aka Front Support. A washer goes in front of the bracket and the spacer behind the bracket in both cases. If removing the power steering pump, make sure you don't lose the Bracket 21 spacer because the manual will not help you haha.
