R.I.P. Bill Creller (aka Pila)
https://www.elcaminocentral.com/threads/steelybill.246967/
Had just been thinking about former active members and realized Bill (Pila) hadn't posted in at least 6 mos. Then, I see this thread on the Elcaminocentral forum...of which he was an active member there as well. For those of us who enjoyed following Bill's Caddy powered Elkie project and his many contributions to this site, I regret to inform everyone that he had, in fact, passed away this past Nov. 6th.

That is really sad to hear. Bill was always super friendly and not only willing to give his advice but he was willing to listen to others giving theirs and give credit. He will be missed.

Re: R.I.P. Bill Creller (aka Pila)
It occurred to me a little while back that I hadn't seen him post anything in a while and I hoped he was okay.
RIP, Bill -- hope to see you in the next life.

That is sad news, and unfortunate to learn of his passing months ago.
Let's hope we are all able to wrench on old cars well into our 80s.

Re: R.I.P. Bill Creller (aka Pila)
That's too bad. He had his age listed and I always thought his mind was sharp for his age. Not too many people in their 80's can figure out a forum or a PC, much less still be turning wrenches on a 500ci Elky.

Bill was a great friend and help on these forums. Always positive, helpful, smart and experienced. I will miss him. Somewhere he’s riding high in his ‘75.

Re: R.I.P. Bill Creller (aka Pila)
Bill was the first one to contact me when I joined the forum, gave me a wonderful first impression. As I have looked through the some of the old threads, he was a wealth of knowledge that will surly be missed. I wish I had the opportunity to meet him.

RIP Bill. I'm glad he was able to contribute to the forums he was a part of. His posts were always informative. I was always surprised by how active he was online and in the hanger wrenching on his El Camino and planes for his age.
