AC Blower Box
Does anybody happen to have pictures of the factory ac blower box and all of it's corresponding wiring plugged in? Need a reference of where everything plugs in for my own. Thank you in advance!

Re: AC Blower Box
I have a 73 I can take some pics of. Your car is a 74?
74 is different.

That helps a lot g3Chevy! There's one more plug between the blower motor and the ac box I believe, would you mind snapping me a picture of it wire plug?

Re: AC Blower Box
It's currently 30 degrees and windy outside so I'm clearing my garage up to get the Chevelle inside so I can try to get my heater working

Re: AC Blower Box
The weather definitely changed! We went from 77 degrees this morning to 56 degrees at noon. Pretty chilly for Houston. Good luck getting your A/C box put back together. At least you can work in the garage which is always a plus when its 30 degree outside.

Re: AC Blower Box
Hello and thanks for all your advice. Â We have a 74 monte and got it in pieces. Â Trying to figure out where the two yellow wires that run down the back of the firewall from the evaporator go. Â They come from the vacuum selector and go to the resistor plug on the AC evaporator box. My question is what is the switch that goes in between? Â Is it a pressure switch or temp sensor? Â And where does it attach? Â Thanks so much for any help.

Re: AC Blower Box
If I recall correctly, those 2 yellow wires plug into a thermal switch that screws into the back of the passenger side cylinder head. That allows the blower motor to turn on low after the engine is up to operating temperature so there is constant circulation in the passenger compartment.

Re: AC Blower Box
Does this look like the switch you are referring to? And does it simply screw into a 5/16 hole in the head?

Re: AC Blower Box
G3 thanks so much. Final question - does this need some sort of gasket? I know one of those yellow wires has 12v so what prevents it from grounding to the motor?
